Great Ocean Road Two Day Tour

Multi Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Departs 10am from your Melbourne Hotel/Accommodation where we will whisk you off towards the start of the Great Ocean Road to get ahead of the tourist traffic. We stop at all the main highlights of this coastal section.

Bells Beach, one of the world's most famous surfing beaches and home of the Rip Curl Pro is our first stop.

Next, a highlight of the tour - a chance for some unique kangaroo sightseeing. You will taken onto private Property where you will be greeted by a local kangaroo expert, who will take you on a guided tour via buggy, to visit a wild group (know as a 'mob') of kangaroos. This might perhaps be the closest you will ever get to wild kangaroo's outside of a Zoo, given the ideal conditions of their particular habitat in which they live.

Split Point Lighthouse follows, with a great vantage point over gorgeous deserted beaches.

We than pass by the Memorial Arch where you will learn about the history behind the road, followed by a search of the kennet river area for wild parrots and koala's!

A lunch-stop will be made in the pretty coastal township of Lorne. A few more lookouts, finishing with a incredible (short) walk to one of the highest points of the Great Ocean Road, which looks down onto Apollo Bay - your overnight stop.

Once we have given you a quick tour of the town, we will drop you off at your accommodation for the night. Please note that accommodation is not included in the tight cost but we are happy to make some recommendations (including LGBTQ+ Friendly options).

Day 2

You will picked up directly from your accommodation at 7am and grab an early breakfast On-The-Go, so we can get on the road before the big crowds. This is when the area is at it's most peaceful, and also when wildlife is at its most active, which is not to be missed!

You will also kick start the morning with a beautiful 25 minute guided rainforest walk at Maits Rest.

Then some scenic touring through the Otway National Park, whilst you keep a keen lookout for wild kangaroos and koala's.

We stop in at Melba Gully, for a chance to stretch your legs again, on either a 15 minute or 40 minute forest walk (depending on your preference/fitness level), followed by a delicious lunch at one of the local cafe's located in the characterful town of Kennet River.

Then onto the famous Rock Formations in the area! You will get to see all the main sites, including The 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London bridge, The Grotto and The Arch.

There is also the added opportunity to take a helicopter joy flight (Additional Cost) over the formations you have just visited by foot. This doesn't need to be pre-booked and is well worth doing, so long as the weather offers fine conditions on the day.

You will then head back on the road towards Melbourne , via scenic farmland. Returns Melbourne @ 4pm.

*We also have an option (Only available on select months and @ an Additional Cost) to extend the trip by an extra 3 Hours and return at 7pm, which will give you time to spend a bit of extra time of the road and see some additional sights. This is an additional flat fee of $180.

" Truly amazing 4 day tour. So varied. My friend told me the 2 day tour was one of their highlights from their holiday in Oz. And our 4 day tour with them didn’t disappoint.

Our guide James and driver for the 4 days was so friendly. And he really knew the areas like the back of his hand, despite the vast distance between the different locations. "
