TIPS WHEN CHOOSING A PRIVATE TOUR

Choose a local area specialist
It can feel like a maze when searching online for the right tour company to go with. We recommend choosing a company that specialises in the local area that you are travelling to. We specialise in 2 specific areas in Victoria - The Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island.
Choose an LGBTQ+ Guide
Choosing an LGBTQ+ Friendly guide can bring about many additional benefits. Its an ideal situation where you can feel comfortable to be yourself and talk and learn about subjects that you might not be able to talk to other guides about. And that's a great way to broaden your view on the LGBTQ+ world - the different politics at play, rights issues in the local community, etc.

Dress for the conditions
We know you've probably packed some fabulous summer clothing options with you, that will be sure to turn heads. But be warned......Melbourne is famous for it's 4 seasons in 1 Day - so don't forget to bring that dull, boring, grey rain jacket with you as well! We carry emergency ponchos and umbrella's but we recommend you according to the local conditions.
Travel During The Australian Pride Season
Don't forget to try and co-incide your travel dates with some of the Pride events happening in Australia. The Sydney Mardi Gras is not to be missed, and Melbourne has it own Pride March and Pride Festival. Find out about the Midsumma Carnival, Pride March and Queer Film Festival here.

Charge Your Camera The Night before
Don't forget to charge your camera the night before any tour. If not, don't worry, because on our tours we have USB charging ports in our vehicles. We can also double up as photographers for the day, and send you all the snaps of the day direct to your email at the end of the tour.
Book Direct
With 3rd Party online booking agents on average charging between 20-30% commission, you can be guaranteed you will get the lowest rate by booking direct with us. We also offer the greatest flexibility and only require a 25% deposit to secure your date when booking direct.
We are currently offering a further 10% off all our tours. just use the code RAINBOW at the checkout.

Travel Insurance
If you're planning to travel to Australia from overseas especially, travel insurance should is essential. Travel insurance can provide you with protection from medical costs and you can be reimbursed for your losses and expenses should anything go wrong such as disruptions to your trip.
Keep Hydrated
It's very easy to underestimate the Australian climate. But it is important that you keep hydrated during your tour. Rest assured, we are on hand to help, with unlimited complimentary bottled water throughout your tour.
